Transforming Water into a Dynamic Projection Surface
As part of Yorkshire Wildlife Park’s Winter Illuminations, Warehouse Digital delivered a stunning projection and light show onto a specialist water fountain installed on a lake. The projection surface, designed specifically for water-based visuals, provided a unique and ever-changing canvas for our digital content.
Bespoke Technology for Harsh Winter Conditions
For this two-month outdoor installation, we deployed 21K-lumen laser projectors, housed in custom-built, waterproof enclosures to withstand the winter elements. The entire system was designed for full remote access, allowing us to adjust content, timings, and audio levels from anywhere in the world.
To ensure smooth operation in the challenging lakeside environment, we designed IP-rated media server units specifically tailored for the site. These custom-built systems ensured reliability throughout the installation, even in wet and freezing conditions.
Synchronised Projection & Lighting Experience
In addition to the projection, we installed and programmed a fully synchronised light show that complemented the visuals, creating an immersive experience for visitors. Every evening, thousands of guests followed the Winter Illuminations trail, enjoying a perfectly timed fusion of light, projection, and music.
By combining technical precision with creative storytelling, we helped Yorkshire Wildlife Park bring their lake to life with a mesmerising digital experience.
